CTC Aviation a multiple award winner at House of Commons

Nominated in three of the four international award categories and judged by an independent panel, CTC Aviation was awarded Aviation Skills Provider of the Year 2015 for successfully demonstrating how aviation education and skills provision is having a positive impact on the skills of young people in the aviation sector. CTC Aviation graduates Anna McGrady and Steven Hadley were jointly presented with the Aviation Skills Young Person of the Year 2015 award in the Fixed-Wing Aircraft category, for demonstrating the impact that investing in their skills and development has had on their career and life.
The judging panel was chaired by Andy Perkins, Senior First Officer and Assistant Pilot Recruitment Manager for British Airways. Andy is also Chairman of the Youth in Aviation Panel for The Air League. He commented, It is fantastic to see CTC Aviation going from strength to strength. Now in their 25th year, the continued focus on support of young people into aviation and aerospace careers is remarkable. The fact that CTC Aviation continues to innovate and is now working hard with schools, colleges and universities to enable young people to realise their potential with aerospace careers is vital for the UK to remain global leaders in flight training and wider aviation disciplines.
Simon Witts CEO and founder of Aviation Skills Partnership commented, The Aviation Skills Awards shines a light on the individuals and businesses within aviation and provides recognition to the pioneering hard work in our industry.
Winners Anna and Steven are on the CTC WINGS BSc (Hons) Professional Aviation Pilot Practice degree programme, delivered by CTC Aviation in partnership with Middlesex University and the Aviation Skills Partnership. The qualification is achieved through completing the CTC WINGS airline pilot career programme, followed by operational flying as a Co-Pilot with one of CTC Aviations growing list of Airline Partners.
Anna and Steven are among the very first airline pilot trainees to continue the qualification into the final, airline employment stage of the programme. Both have recently secured placement through CTC Aviation as A320 co-pilots with longstanding CTC WINGS Airline Partner easyJet and will, therefore, continue the third and final year of this work-based degree as a qualified airline pilot.
easyJet was the very first airline to support this ground-breaking programme: It was launched by the airlines CEO Dame Carolyn McCall, speaking at CTC Aviations annual graduation in December 2013 and now, they will be the first airline to see their pilots continue the degree into their operational career.
Today, over 50 trainee airline pilots are enrolled on the BSc (Hons) degree programme whilst training towards their airline pilot career with CTC WINGS.
