Pristina - Today a prosecutor with the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo filed an indictment against one suspect charged with Aggravated Murder and Attempted Aggravated Murder in the case known as “City Club”.

The investigation conducted by the Prosecutor concerns the Murder by gun shot of the late Besart Qazim Shabi and the Attempted Aggravated Murder of one police officer that occurred on 02.01.2010 in the discotheque “City Club” in Peja.

The case is believed to be connected with the blood feud between the family Elshani and the family Kelmendi.

The suspect surrendered to the police and is serving detention on remand pending trial. The suspect faces a sentence of at least ten years of imprisonment.

The indictment was filed by an International Prosecutor with the office of Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, following a complex investigation conducted by EULEX Prosecution, Kosovo Police, and EULEX police.
