Pristina - Today, a Prosecutor with the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK) filed an indictment against B.S. for actions alleged to have taken place in Fushe Kosova, on or about 26 March 1999. 

The defendant is accused of: War Crimes against the Civilian Population, as provided for and punished by Articles 22 and 142 of the Criminal Code of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (CCSFRY), currently criminalized under Articles 31 and 152 of the Criminal Code of Kosovo (CCK), in violation of the common article 3 of the four Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, and in violation of Articles 4 and 5(1) of Protocol II of 8 June 1977, Additional to the 1949 Geneva Conventions, all rules of international law effective at the time of the internal armed conflict in Kosovo and at all material times. 

The Indictment was filed by the Prosecutor following the extradition of the defendant from Bosnia.
