KFOR: “Kosovo Wide” Exercise

Pristina, 15 June - From 16th to 18th June 2010, an exercise of the KFOR maneuver forces will be conducted in KFOR Area of Responsibility including borders and boundaries. All the Multinational Battle Groups under KFOR command will be part of training in an operational scenario.

This exercise is part of a training cycle aimed to further enhance KFOR’s interoperability and abilities to react to any given scenario.

This exercise is not in response to, nor in preparation for, any current situation either on-going or expected within Kosovo.

KFOR routinely conducts joint exercises in order to display that KFOR has the determination and capability to deploy forces effectively when needed as part of its commitment to deter any kind of violence or unrest to maintain a secure and safe environment and freedom of movement.

All vehicles will be marked “KFOR” and all soldiers will wear a KFOR badge. Local citizens should be cautious while troops are in action.
