Pristina, 4 june - First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today the special envoy of the President of the United States of American in the Global Coalition against ISIS, General John Allen.

They discussed the progress achieved by the coalition in its fight against ISIS and on the measures that are being taken by the member states, including Kosovo.

Deputy Prime Minister Thaçi said that Kosovo remains committed and uncompromising in combating terrorism and will continue to play an active role in the Coalition against ISIS. Thaçi added that the government in Prishtina has taken some concrete actions to strengthen the message against extremism.

Thaçi told his guest that Kosovo has brought together last week over 200 guests from around the world to discuss ways to help young people to use social networks to combat extremism and promote interfaith dialogue.

On the other hand, U. S. General Allen congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Thaçi on Kosovo’s efforts in combating violent extremism as part of the Global Coalition against ISIS.
