Prishtina, May, 4, - Another foreign investment project in Kosovo has been successfully realised with the support of the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the Vienna Office of Investment Promotion Agency of Kosovo (IPAK).
The Frankfurt-based German company MC mobile communication GmbH has invested in Kosovo by opening a Call Center in Prishtina. The MC Communication center in Prishtina will be servicing the clients of several German companies through Internet and telephone. The German company has initially created 60 new jobs in Prishtina and has soon increased its capacities and employs today 300 people.
The Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) has supported the investment by financing a considerable part of it, while the Vienna Office of IPAK has assisted the German company in project development through its consultancy services.
Representatives of the German company have said to be very satisfied with the work of Kosovar employees, in particular with their knowledge of German language, which is a precondition to work in the call center. The company is also closely cooperating with the German language Faculty of the University of Prishtina in issues such as recruitment and training of potential employees.
The Vienna Office of IPAK, which is financed by ADC itself, has so far supported and assisted 16 foreign investments in Kosovo. This is the third investment in Kosovo co-financed by ADC since the opening of this office in November 2006. The Vienna Office of IPAK is managed by the Economic Initiative for Kosovo (ECIKS).
